Treacle

Neon lights
Siren tones
I’ve never witnessed
So much joy.
Screams and shouts
Yelps and cries
Two girls and two boys.
Up and down
Round and round
Candy floss and bumper cars.
Whirling wheels
Loop the loop
That’ll leave you seeing stars.
Lucky horseshoes
The fairy of the fair
What a noisy din.
Next summer
Bright and early
We’ll start all over again.
