A is for Allah (God)
B is for Bedouin (Nomad Arab of the desert)
C is for Christians (people of the book)
D is for Deen (path, correct way)
E is for Ethiopia (where Muhammad and his followers sought refuge)
F is for Fajr (morning prayer)
G is for Gabriel (angel who brought Holy Quran to Muhammad pbuh)
H is for Hajj (pilgrimage)
I is for Islam (submission to God)
J is for Jihad (struggle. Most important in self)
K is for Kaabah (black building praying Muslims turn to)
L is for La ilaha illa Allah (There is no God but God)
M is for Medinah (Prophet and followers emigration from Mecca. Prophet’s Mosque)
N is for Nas (mankind. Recurring word marks rhythm in Arabic)
O is for Othman (Caliph: successor of the Prophet)
P is for Prophet (person inspired by God to reveal will to men)
Q is for Quran (God’s word revealed to Muhammad)
R is for Rami (ritualistic walk around Kaabah)
S is for Sirat (bridge crossed to enter paradise on last day)
T is for Torah (Taurah.Old Testament revealed by Moses)
U is for Umrah (minor pilgrimage)
V is for Vanity (gossip discouraged)
W is for Wudu (ablution)
X is for Malcolm X (slain black Muslim civil rights leader)
Y is for Yusuf (Joseph (Islamic/Christian prophet)
Z is for Zakat (charity)
